New Banners + Tumblr/Instagram

As you can tell.... I FINALLY updated my banner! I'll definitely end up updating it again at some point, but this is a good one to keep up for now. I ALSO updated the banner in my original character journals. That one I'm a lot happier with, so go check it out if you have time.

I also want to remind everyone that you can follow me on other sites too! I recently made an Art Tumblr where I'll post more sketches than I do here. ALSO my tablet is back and working, so you can find daily posts on my Instagram. And then of course, there's always my Blogger where you will see the most updates from me, but they're staggered to a few times a week.


So the semester's more than halfway over, but I feel like I've definitely learned a whole lot so far this semester. As you have probably seen, I've been trying out ZBrush and really enjoying it. It's got me interested in experimenting with 3D a bit more. Also since I have less classes, I have been able to take a lot more time in working on concept work for NimbusStev and I's game. Although this semester's been teaching me a lot, there have of course been some negatives, but not enough to ruin the whole semester for me. I'm super excited for next semester though, because I will be taking a lot of work-intensive classes and I hope to learn a lot of cool things from them.

Also this summer I scored a job at the ID Tech camps. So basically I'll be teaching kids how to make video games. I suspect it'll be a fun job, since NimbusStev did it last summer and had a great time. This also means I will be spending the majority of my summer in Columbus on the OSU campus. This summer won't be as lonely as some of the past summers since I'll be keeping myself busy and constantly surrounded by people. Hey, I might even be able to visit my Columbus friends in my downtime over the weekends.

Overall, things have been going well. It feels like things are finally lifting up and heading towards the positive. Plus I have been quite pleased with the direction my art is heading in, finally. After receiving some useful feedback from my professors during my Junior Assessment, I have been trying to incorporate their advice into my art. And let me tell you, it has been helping me out A LOT. I kind of wish I could have had yearly assessments instead of waiting until now. It probably would have helped me out a whole lot in my earlier years of college. But now is better than never. So I am excited to see what happens next.

I know I rambled on a bit, but I just wanted to keep you guys updated on what's happening with me. Spring break is just about ending and I will be back in classes and busier than I have been. Finals are about to start up, so I'm ready for some all-nighters and constant working in the labs!
