Test of Willpower

So here is one of my favorite parts that NimbusStev has made in The Worlds so far! It was part of the R Nays Eventure where a group of the S Nays were being tested in Pyre's Manor.

From left to right: Shaw, Megumi, and AppleCider. The Nays basically had fifteen minutes to decide which Nays should drink the liquid... and one of their glasses contains poison. So basically these are the three that end up volunteering JUST IN TIME. This was literally the part of The Worlds that I feel had the most suspense, and had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. As I said, this is definitely one of the best ideas yet in The Worlds. I posted this part from the eventure below so it will explain what is happening more.

Oh and at this point I really liked how NimbusStev finally made Megumi's love for Shaw cannon. XD Since she originally just liked him in his Nays Detective Game and I thought that was a funny idea. Plus now it gives Megumi more of a reason to want to be one of The Nays and actually do stuff.

Here is the part from the eventure:

[03:59] * Meanwhile in the dining room...
[04:02] * Xalt leads the Nays to a table with seven chairs. At each seat is a glass filled with a clear liquid. She stands at the head of the table and motions for them to sit down. They all sit down at the table.
[04:11] * Murou bounces up and down in his chair. "This place is so fancy. I bet they'll be serving really expensive food. I love rich people food!" he thinks.
[04:11] > So what are we eating?
[04:12] > Sorry, those drinks are all we're serving today.
[04:14] * Xalt raises her arm in the air as all of the doors in the room suddenly shut. The dining chairs abruptly grow arms which grab The Nays, locking them in their respective seats.
[04:14] > Rrrr!
[04:14] > What is this!?
[04:16] > Welcome to Pyre's Manor. My name is Xalt... member of the R Nays.
[04:16] > R Nays? What is that supposed to mean?
[04:17] > I would explain it to you, but the countdown has already started.
[04:17] > I wouldn't want to waste what precious time you have left.
[04:17] > What the heck are you talking about?
[04:18] * Just then, a loud clank can be heard from above as the ceiling suddenly lowers a notch. Xalt pulls out a remote and presses a button. Sharp spikes jut out from the ceiling.
[04:19] > Every three minutes, the ceiling will lower another notch. Within 15 minutes, the ceiling will collide with the floor, piercing all of you with the deadly spikes.
[04:20] > I thought you were with the birds. Why are you trying to kill us!?
[04:21] > I'm not trying to kill you. We are merely testing your willpower.
[04:22] > Six of those glasses contain harmless salt water. The seventh glass contains trace amounts of cyanide, a deadly poison. They've all been randomized. Even I don't know which one contains the poison.
[04:23] > I want three of you to drink your glasses. Once the third person finishes their drink, I will stop the ceiling and release you from your seats.
[04:24] > You mean we have a one in seven chance of dying? And you actually accept us to drink that willingly!?
[04:25] > You have a one hundred percent chance of dying if no one finishes their drinks. If I were you, I'd go with the one in seven chance.
[04:25] > This is insane! How can you expect us to make a choice like this?
[04:26] > Only three of you need to drink their glasses. Which of you will risk your own safety for the well being of the others?
[04:27] > Hold on a second. You said you were testing us. Testing us for what?
[04:28] > We R Nays are curious about you S Nays. The fate of The Worlds could rest on all of our shoulders.
[04:28] > We're not going to be able to help you if you kills us right here!
[04:30] > This challenge is all on you. I've explained the rules and told you how to survive. If you can't even survive a little test like this, then you certainly won't have the resolve to be of use to us.
[04:30] > D-Don't you think this is going a little far!?
[04:30] * A clank can be heard as the ceiling drops another notch.
[04:31] > If I were you, I'd start figuring out who's going to drink their glasses before the ceiling crushes you completely.
[04:31] * Xalt smirks and walks to the far end of the room, out of reach of the spiky ceiling.
[04:32] * The Nays all look down at their glasses with apprehension.
[04:32] > What are we going to do....?
[04:33] > Rrr, I'm not drinking it to save you guys. I don't even like any of you besides Kaenah!
[04:33] > That's kind of selfish...
[04:34] > So does that mean you're going to volunteer to drink it?
[04:34] > W-Well... no....
[04:34] > Well someone has to drink it or else we're all gonna die.
[04:35] > Don't look at me. I'm not the noble hero type.
[04:36] > Well think about the odds. Only one in seven of these is poisoned. There's a very good chance we can drink three of these and still be safe.
[04:36] > Even so, that's still a pretty big leap of faith. I'm not exactly willing to do that.
[04:36] * CLANK* Another notch further.
[04:37] > Maybe we should play some kind of game.... The three losers are the ones who have to drink.
[04:38] > Rrr, we don't have time for games right now! That thing is going to stab all of us any minute now!
[04:38] > Wait a second guys! I just thought of something!
[04:38] > She said the glass has cyanide in it, right?
[04:39] > Yeah....
[04:39] > That's a pretty basic poison. When I was training with Floaz I learned all sorts of antidote spells.
[04:40] > Even if someone does get poisoned, if I can get to them fast enough, I can remove the poison and cure them!
[04:40] > Are you really that confident that you'll be able to heal us fast enough?
[04:41] > This is life or death we're talking about. If you mess up, someone could die.
[04:41] * Mushy trembles a bit, taking a deep breath.
[04:41] > W-well when you put it that way...
[04:41] > No, I think that's pretty much the only option we have right now.
[04:42] * CLANK* Another notch further.
[04:42] > Only a few minutes left and not a single glass has been touched. Pretty risky.....
[04:43] > Alright, I guess that's the plan then?
[04:43] > Yeah, three of us drink the glasses at the same time. That way we'll be released right then and if anyone is poisoned we'll have to hope Mushy can save them.
[04:44] > I-I'll try my best...
[04:44] > Rrr, way to go Showoff. Now he's probably gonna mess up since he's all nervous.
[04:45] > We still haven't solved the main problem. Who's going to drink the poison?
[04:45] * The Nays stare at each other silently.
[04:45] > Well... I guess I can't drink it since I'm the designated healer...
[04:46] > Rrr... that's no fair.
[04:46] > I'll do it. We don't have time to draw this out any longer.
[04:48] * Shaw widens his eyes and stares at ACider. "She's actually going to volunteer...? I'm the one who insisted on this plan and even I'm not willing to take that chance...." he thinks.
[04:49] * ACider leans over the table and looks to Mushy.
[04:49] > I'm putting my life in your hands. Don't let me down.
[04:49] > O... okay...
[04:51] * Shaw slams his fist down on the table "I'm the one who always acts like a leader around here. I can't just wimp out now!" he thinks.
[04:53] > Count me in too! I've survived much worse than this. I've fought against murderers and martial arts masters. No way I'm going to die drinking some stupid poison.
[04:53] * CLANK* Another notch further. Only 3 minutes remain.
[04:54] > Rrr! I can feel the spike touching my head!
[04:54] > Come on! We still need a third person!
[04:56] * Megumi stares at Shaw in awe. "That was.... actually really cool. H-He...." she thinks. Her cheeks begin to turn red as she feels her heart beating faster.
[04:56] * With two minutes left, Megumi puts her hand around her glass.
[04:56] > I'm the third. Let's go.
[04:57] * The others all turn to her in shock.
[04:57] > (Seriously!? She is the LAST person I'd expect to volunteer for this!)
[04:58] > No time to waste! Let's do this!
[04:59] * ACider, Shaw and Megumi all raise their glasses.
[04:59] * One minute left!
[04:59] > Here's hoping we're all still alive five minutes from now. Cheers!
[05:00] * All three of them force down the drinks, their hearts pounding.
[05:00] * Everyone watches in suspense. Murou can't help but bite his fingernails.
[05:00] * Xalt smiles and presses the button, stopping the ceiling and releasing the chairs.

Annnnnnnnnnnnnnd ENDING IT IN SUSPENSE! Since I was almost considering drawing a picture of the next part that happens... so just wait until then to find out what happens next~

But I had some difficulties with this picture. I originally drew the sketches for this picture on paper and then just traced over my sketches and made a digital drawing. Shaw and ACider's poses were giving me a lot of difficulties, so I ended up just deciding to make them smaller and focus more on Megumi in the center, since I was most satisfied with how she came out.
